Why Compress Gas That Can Still Do Useful Work?

PROBLEM

Gas recovery often becomes a compression problem too early. When recovered gas is moved directly toward low-pressure storage, useful pressure can be lost before the gas reaches the compressor.

Cascade-X changes the recovery sequence before changing the compressor.

The objective is not simply a better compressor. It is to reduce how much gas needs to be recompressed.

HOW IT WORKS

1. RECOVER

Keep recovered gas at useful pressure where possible.

2. EQUALISE

Use direct pressure transfer where the system allows it.

3. RECOMPRESS

Compress only the remaining requirement.

Recover → Equalise → Recompress

The earlier helium system is not presented as a hydrogen validation of Cascade-X. It provides field experience in staged recovery, pressure routing, storage, compression and automated operation.

HYDROGEN ROADMAP

The physics of pressure transfer is not limited to helium, but hydrogen introduces different engineering, safety, materials and operating requirements.

The Cascade-X staged-recovery approach is field-proven in an industrial helium application. Hydrogen-specific performance remains to be validated

Evidence Before Claims

  • RECOVERED GAS — How much gas is retained and reused?

  • PRESSURE UTILISATION — How much useful pressure is preserved?

  • COMPRESSION REQUIREMENT — How much gas actually requires recompression?

  • ENERGY — What is the measured compression energy?

  • TEMPERATURE — What thermal behaviour occurs?

  • CYCLE TIME — What happens to operating time?

  • REPEATABILITY — Can the result be reproduced?
